What is Crystal?

9/26/2010 Jack

Crystal - Shrouded in mystery with legendary powers, pure, sparkling crystal holds an irresistible fascination. This fascination has been witnessed by the worldwide success of our Jasmine Crystal Gifts Collection...
• Jasmine Crystal is essentially a high quality form of glass produced with sand, potash and lead oxide. Lead content maximizes light refraction, brilliance and sharp faceting in crystal. Created from Austrian's finest 30% lead crystal, Jasmine Crystal figurines are composed of numerous individual prism, each meticulously cut and polished by skilled artisans.

Tips for cleaning our Crystal
• It is recommended that you wear gloves to avoid leaving fingerprints.
• Lay the pieces on soft cotton cloth
• Do not use the cloth to clean pieces, it is used as a work area.
• Do not use any commercial cleaners
• Use lukewarm running water to loosen up dirt and grime
• Use the toothpick only to loosen up debris from crevices.

General Care:
ALWAYS USE A SOFT CLEAN CLOTH.
• A clean cotton T-shirt is ideal. Just 'huff' on your crystal, like when you polish your sunglasses. Polish your crystal by rubbing it from all angles. Each facet must be clean for your crystal to sparkle at its best. If your crystals are particularly dusty or greasy from kitchen fumes, you may use any Windex-like product that is NOT abrasive!
CRYSTALS CAN SCRATCH!
• NEVER hang your crystals side by side, where they could 'clunk' or rub against each other. If you hang your crystals right against the surface of the window, be sure they are not in a place where they will swing or bump against the glass over and over. Your crystals can, in time, wear down and appear dull or scratched.
We recommend that you occasionally polish each piece with a soft lint-free cloth.
Displaying Your Crystal
• To maximize the appearance of your crystal collection, we recommend that you display your pieces in an enclosed display case with sufficient direct light. By using an enclosed display case, you enhance the perception that you and others have of your crystal collection. This will also minimize breakage of your crystal and the time spent cleaning your collection. Small unlit display cases should be placed somewhere in your home that will be in direct sunlight to increase the shine and brilliance of your crystal.

Museum Adhesive Gel
• For years museums have maintained the value of priceless art, antiques, glass and collectibles in two ways:

(1) by limiting how many times they are touched and picked up
(2) by securing them properly so they won't fall and break.

The secret, originating from museum professionals, is now available to you... the collector. You too can maintain the value of your collection for generations with our acclaimed Museum Adhesive Gel a temporary securing adhesive.
